The Program Lead—Sustainable Agriculture plays a pivotal role in advancing South Coast NRM’s sustainable agriculture initiatives. This leadership position involves managing projects, supervising a  team, and driving the strategic development of the sustainable agriculture program to achieve meaningful, landscape-scale outcomes.

As Program Lead, you will oversee project and financial management, ensuring activities are delivered effectively and aligned with contractual and organisational objectives. You will foster collaboration with diverse stakeholders across government, industry, and community sectors, leveraging partnerships to enhance program impact.

A key focus will be on innovation and growth—designing strategies, identifying funding opportunities, and co-developing initiatives that align with industry needs while supporting the program’s long-term sustainability. You’ll also play a crucial role in maintaining South Coast NRM’s reputation for excellence in research, community engagement, and impactful environmental outcomes.

The Program Lead—Sustainable Agriculture role requires an experienced individual with solid industry experience and sound project management skills. The individual will lead the Sustainable Agriculture program and contribute to its development and delivery.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter, collaborative, and solutions-focused.

The position can be based in either Esperance (preferred) or Albany, WA, and is offered as a full-time, permanent position. Please refer to the Position Description for full position details.

Based in the South Coast region of Western Australia, South Coast Natural Resource Management is an independent, community-based organisation that provides leadership and expertise in natural resource management (NRM), conservation, sustainability, and community capacity. Our vision for the region is ‘Thriving and diverse communities where nature is valued, protected and restored’.  We acknowledge and work collaboratively with Noongar First Nations people and organisations across the region.

The Project Coordinator – Yakamia Creek role requires an experienced individual with strong project management skills and on-ground experience in natural resource management to lead, manage and implement key natural resource management activities within the Yakamia Catchment. This will include managing and implementing the rehabilitation of two living basins and one living stream in the Yakamia Catchment in partnership with local stakeholders. Along with project management responsibilities, the successful candidate will deliver events and communications to engage with community, and use their technical expertise to implement on-ground aspects of the project, including site rehabilitation and ecological monitoring. 

The successful candidate will be a self-starter, collaborative, and solutions focused.

The position will be based in Albany, WA and is offered at 0.8FTE.
