On the first day of summer we celebrated #GilbertsPotorooDay! December 1st is a celebration of the anniversary (28 years this year!) of the rediscovery of #GilbertsPotoroo at #TwoPeoplesBay on December 1, 1994, after not having been recorded for about 120 years and thought extinct.
To celebrate, we are very proud to be part of the release of this gorgeous poster that is one of a series that Gillamii has created, in collaboration with artist Katharina Rocksien (http://www.katharinarocksien.com) to shed light on some of WA’s threatened and endangered fauna species. South Coast NRM has supported the creation of this series through the Australian Government’s National Landcare Program.
