The remarkable backdrop of Middleton Beach was no distraction from the important conversations at a recent NRM Forum held in Albany, Western Australia, hosted by South Coast Natural Resource Management Inc.. Invited participants from across the region converged to contribute to a Q&A style forum to explore and answer this question: Are we collectively doing enough to actively protect threatened species?
Sarah Comer DBCA Parks & Wildlife Esperance Angela Sanders Bush Heritage Australia, Heather Adams, Wayne Pech North Stirling Downs Agriculture and Johanna Tomlinson were the panellists and together with the diverse crowd, celebrated the achievements and discussed the need for enduring action.
Future key actions identified, included sharing information, growing environmental volunteering and a stronger advocacy voice from the region to ensure appropriate resourcing for threatened species work.
