We are delighted to share the video ‘Saving Kyloring’, a short film by Jennene Riggs from Riggs Australia, co-produced by Friends of the Western Ground Parrot, detailing the first ever wild to wild translocation of the western ground parrot – a Critically Endangered species!
The translocation project involves a large team led by the Parks and Wildlife Service, Western Australia, including BirdLife Western Australia, Friends of the Western Ground Parrot, Perth Zoo and South Coast NRM.
We are proud to be playing our part in the Kyloring’s protection through pest animal control, awareness raising and monitoring for increased knowledge, work which is supported by the Australian Governments National Landcare Program.
