Exciting news for threatened species across the south coast of WA! The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions have developed an interactive website on Zooniverse for the South Coast Threatened Fauna Recovery Project, enabling a fantastic opportunity for #citizenscience.
People from all over the world can help with the important camera image ID work that will directly contribute to the conservation & management of critically endangered fauna species, such as the Gilbert’s potoroo, and threatened south coast birds such as the Western ground parrot and noisy scrub bird.
Cameras are now LIVE and feature images from camera traps at Two Peoples Bay National Park and Waychinicup National Park. You can visit the project on the Zooniverse site, have a browse around and see how you go identifying some images!
