Songlines and Sustainability Project Officer

Contract Term: 15 months

We are seeking an experienced Aboriginal person to manage a new cultural project from our Albany office.

This is a part-time (0.6 FTE) position for 15 months to deliver the Songlines and Sustainability project exploring the link between culture, language, songlines and caring for country practices on the south coast of WA in partnership with Wirlomin Noongar Language and Stories group. This project is documenting, recording and sharing aspects of traditional Wirlomin songline stories belonging to the Fitzgerald Biosphere. Insights derived from this project will enhance caring for country practices by emphasising links between traditional ecological knowledge (TEK) and modern land management practice.
