Restoring Lake Pleasant View Project Officer

Position Location – Albany Office

Contract Term  – 31 August 2020 to 30 June 2023

Employment Status – Part time 0.6 FTE

Salary –Level 3.1 $42,621 gross per annum pro rata for FTE

About the role

South Coast Natural Resource Management Inc is seeking an experienced and dynamic person to deliver a new project to protect and restore the Aboriginal owned Lake Pleasant View property with substantial cultural heritage and biodiversity values. The project officer is responsible for delivering this 3-year project in partnership with the Albany Heritage Reference Group Aboriginal Corporation and community stakeholders. The project officer will plan and coordinate the delivery of on ground works for the recovery of endangered animals and protection of cultural heritage along with installing infrastructure for the Aboriginal and wider community to visit and enjoy the property. This role is recruited on merit, however we have a preference to employ people of Aboriginal descent for the role.

Black Cockatoo Project Officer

About the role

South Coast Natural Resource Management Inc is seeking an experienced and dynamic person to deliver a new project deliver recovery actions on private lands to reverse the decline of black cockatoos on the south coast. This project will support farmers to maintain and improve the habitat values of black cockatoo nesting and associated feeding sites.
