Around 50 Year 6 and 7 Yakamia Primary School students helped South Coast NRM chairman Bill Holingworth and regional landcare facilitator Dave Broadhurst plant several hundred young knobby club-rush (Isolepis nodosa) plants at the Barnesby Drive stretch of Yakamia Creek.
The students were following in their predessors footsteps – 17 years ago children from the same school planted the trees which sit north of the footbridge on Barnesby Drive.
