South Coast NRM’s “Strong & Proud” youth program recently completed their first semester with a challenging mountain bike ride along the Munda Biddi Trail from Young Siding to the Denmark River.
The inaugural lecture in the 2017 Great Southern Speaker Series was presented by Professor Barry Marshall to a packed and appreciative audience in the Albany Town Hall on the evening of 27 June.
South Coast Natural Resource Management is excited to announce that it is running its final Regional Landcare Facilitators’ Community Small Grant Programme for 2017 thanks to funding by the National Landcare Programme.
This programme aims to help community groups get involved in Landcare by providing funds of up to $500 (ex GST) that can go towards the cost of running an event or project that benefits the community and the environment.

The Fitzgerald River area, in the Shires of Jerramungup and Ravensthorpe and centred by Fitzgerald River National Park will come under international scrutiny in June when The United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) hands down its decision.
The decision is awaited with excitement by all the supporters who have spent several years putting together a detailed proposal, following extensive consultations.
