The South Coast NRM Board of Management is skills-based and supported by committees and reference groups, allowing for an inclusive approach to community engagement and the efficient use of time, as well as technical and skilled input. The organisation recognises close working relationships with its community are essential to ongoing success.
Carolyn was first elected as a director of South Coast NRM in 2014. She renominated in 2017 to give the organisation some continuity for the next three years as it enters a challenging period in terms of ongoing funding. She believes that her experience will assist in supporting the organisation with this challenge.
Joanne spent much of her early life working on her family's sheep and wheat farm in Katanning.
Retired from South Coast NRM in December 2014 after employment term of seven years; last position held Contracts and Monitoring & Evaluation Manager.
Stephen Frost(Deputy Chair)
Successful family farming business in Narrikup while at the same time developing strong working partnerships with other local business people. The farm is highly productive running up to 3000 ewes and lambs on 420 acres of established pasture.
Alex was raised in Denmark and spent much of his childhood exploring the many natural areas from Walpole to Esperance.
Andrew is a past agricultural researcher of natural resource management issues and has developed a very good understanding of the complexity of the regional ecosystems and the trade-offs between alternative uses of the natural assets.
